These instructions were for WoW 2.2 and we’re now on 2.4. MazzleUI has now been updated to support 2.4 but I haven’t tried it myself (I’ve been updating myself and have replaced a lot of the addons now).
I would suggest you try the official MazzleUI instructions again, now that they seem to be up-to-date.

Once you've run the Mazzifier you're free to change what you like, and I suppose you could disable Bongos and install and configure Bartender 3 if you like.
