Halo 3, Half-Life 2 and good ol’ WoW

Sep 26, 2007 by Graeme in Games

Major Nelson reports on a charity Halo 3 auction, including:

Hmm, it’s odd that there are two copies of Halo 3 in the auction - perhaps the standard one is included “just in case.”

As for me, I’m not going to get sucked in by the hype; I’m going to go back and finish Half-Life 2 and pick up the Orange Box via Steam in a couple of weeks. Hopefully by then I’ll have fixed my WoW UI after today’s patch as well…

Tornado? Pah!

I cycle to work every day and this morning, apparently, I cycled through a tornado in Farnborough.

Hard as nails. :P

The next generation of .NET unit testing frameworks

Sep 23, 2007 by Graeme in Development

A couple of years ago I made the decision to use MbUnit as my unit testing framework. At the time, NUnit had appeared to be stagnating for quite a while, whereas Peli was regularly pushing MbUnit forward with new features. But to be honest neither framework has really made big strides since then. So I was happy to read about xUnit.net the other day, and even happier to read Andy Stopford’s response reminding us that MbUnit Gallio is still under development (sorry, couldn’t find a decent overview to link to). It’s been talked about for a while, but I think the fact that xUnit.net binaries are already available is going to squeeze some binaries out of the MbUnit Gallio team very soon.

Good luck to both teams, and although I’m sure there’s room for both frameworks (and MSTest I suppose, especially when it’s in Visual Studio Pro) it’s nice to have a bit of competition!

  • A 101-gesture version of Rock-Paper-Scissors. A game so complex, I highly doubt anyone will actually even want to attempt to play it.
