Sorry, Matt…

I’m afraid Matt is going to be a little disappointed. Unfortunately, FetchLinks doesn’t work at all well for feeds whose linked items are located with anchors within a large page. It doesn’t pay any attention to the anchors, and each item will download the entire page.
It may be possible to locate the anchor and discard the other parts of the page, but given how tricky HTML is to parse that’s a non-trivial task. It’s something I will be experimenting with, however, because it’s these pages which let FetchLinks down at the moment. In the meantime, make sure you’re using the latest version so you can switch it off for these problematic feeds.
Matt: Thanks for the great plug and announcement Greg!
Greg also mentions Graeme Foster’s new plugin FetchLinks. I’m just hoping this works for my SlickDeals.net feeds
